I Didn’t Want to Give Up My Gas Mower… But I’m Never Going Back

I’ll be honest—I was not excited when my husband brought home a Greenworks Electric Lawn Mower. I’ve always been a “gas mower girl.” I liked the power, the sound, and honestly, I was just used to it. Gas mowers felt dependable.

But after one weekend of actually using a self-propelled electric mower… I was completely converted. No yanking cords. No fumes. No noise headache. No frustration, easy clean up and storage.

And now? I will never go back to gas.

My First Impression (Spoiler: I Was Wrong)

I have Zoysa grass in my yard, and my grass was a bit on the "shaggy" side my expectations for Greenworks Electric mower being able to cut the grass without stalling out, or the draining the battery life were not great. However, the mower proved me wrong. The mower is surprisingly light weight, with its push button start and long battery life, it made cutting grass not a chore.

The pro's for me on the Greenworks Electric Lawn Mower is as follows:

1. Push Button Start, no more pulling the cord 3 or 4 times to get it to start.
2. Lightweight & Easier to Maneuver.
3. Cheaper to operate. Gas is on the rise! My last can of gas 4 cycles gas was roughly $25 after tax.
4. However, the biggest Pro for me is when I walk out into my garage, no more gas fumes!

We looked not only looked at the price, but at the different add on options between EGO Power and Greenworks and determined that Greenworks would meet all our needs. With the battery being interchangeable between multiple tools, he decided Greenworks was the choice for us.
